Constants and Calibration Sets

A Constant is a value or set of values defined before a test is run. Unlike Signals, Constants do not have a defined time component.

Constants may be of type numeric or message.

Constants may be added to tag groups.

A tag group may have one or more Constants.

Tag groups are defined in the Tags tab in Project Settings.

The value of a Constant may change based on which tags are asserted; however, unlike Signals, Constants do not have time-based transitions.

A Constant may be defined by a Calibration set. The current value of the Constant is determined by the active tag.

Reactive Code, Custom Tolerances, Transition Editors, and Signal Generators may access the current value of a Constant.

Loading a new Tag group may change the value of a Constant, however the value cannot change during execution of a TestCase.
