Check the wakeup threshold of the DUT

 

4.1.13.3.1.1 CommEn Input thrshld 6V

Activate the Communication Enable Line. Increase the amplitude of the Communication Enable Line in useful steps starting from 0 V to 6V

Acceptance Criteria:

The DUT shall wake up if the input voltage is within the following range:

4.0 V <= Vwu <= 26.5 V.

The DUT may wake up if the input voltage is within the following range:

2.0 V <= Vwu <= 4.0 V.

The DUT shall not wake up if the input voltage is within the following range:

Vwu < 2.0V.

4.1.13.3.1.2 CommEn Input thrshld 9V

Activate the Communication Enable Line. Increase the amplitude of the Communication Enable Line in useful steps starting from 0 V to 9V

Acceptance Criteria:

The DUT shall wake up if the input voltage is within the following range:

Verify the DUT WakesUp,when a Transmit a pulse with a duration of 40 ms and an amplitude of 4.5 V on the

Communication Enable Line at 12V

Acceptance Criteria:

The DUT shall wake up after it received a pulse with a length of 40 ms

Verify the DUT WakesUp,when a Transmit a pulse with a duration of 40 ms and an amplitude of 4.5 V on the

Communication Enable Line at 16V

Acceptance Criteria:

The DUT shall wake up after it received a pulse with a length of 40 ms

4.1.13.3.3 CommEn Wake-Up Filter Function

Verify the DUT does not wake up,when an invalid wake-up pulse is received.

Determine the hysteresis of the wake receive threshold of the DUT

 

4.1.13.3.4.1 CommEn Input Thrshld Hyst 6.5V

Activate the Communication Enable Line. Decrease the amplitude of the Communication Enable Line in 0.1V steps starting from 6.5 V to 4.5V. Check at which voltage level the DUT goes to sleep (VSleep). Increase the amplitude of the Communication Enable Line in 0.1V steps until the DUT wakes up (Vwake).

Acceptance Criteria:

The hysteresis of the DUT shall be within the following range:

0.1 V <= Vhysteresis<=1.9 V.

0.2 V <= Vhysteresis<=1.5 V, preferred.

4.1.13.3.4.2 CommEn Input Thrshld Hyst 9V

Activate the Communication Enable Line. Decrease the amplitude of the Communication Enable Line in 0.1V steps starting from 9 V to  4.5V. Check at which voltage level the DUT goes to sleep (VSleep). Increase the amplitude of the Communication Enable Line in 0.1V steps until the DUT wakes up (Vwake).

4.1.13.3.4.5 CommEn Input Thrshld Hyst 18V

Activate the Communication Enable Line. Decrease the amplitude of the Communication Enable Line in 0.1V steps starting from 18 V to  4.5V. Check at which voltage level the DUT goes to sleep (VSleep). Increase the amplitude of the Communication Enable Line in 0.1V steps until the DUT wakes up (Vwake).

Acceptance Criteria:

The hysteresis of the DUT shall be within the following range:

0.1 V <= Vhysteresis<=1.9 V.

0.2 V <= Vhysteresis<=1.5 V, preferred.

4.1.13.3.4.6 CommEn Input Thrshld Hyst 26.5V

Activate the Communication Enable Line. Decrease the amplitude of the Communication Enable Line in 0.1V steps starting from 26.5 V to  4.5V. Check at which voltage level the DUT goes to sleep (VSleep). Increase the amplitude of the Communication Enable Line in 0.1V steps until the DUT wakes up (Vwake).

0.1 V <= Vhysteresis<=1.9 V.

4.1.13.4.2.1 CommEn Input Loss of Power Supply

Check the impact on the wake-up function when the DUT loses its power supply

 

4.1.13.4.2.1 CommEn Loss of Pwr

Monitor the CAN & WakeUp line when DUT is Disconnected Powersupply and Re-connected

Acceptance Criteria:

The DUT shall resume normal communication without any operator intervention within 300 ms  after the fault is removed.

4.1.13.4.2.2 CommEn Input Loss of Ground Connection

Check the impact on the wake-up function when the DUT loses its Ground

 

4.1.13.4.2.2 CommEn Loss of Gnd

Monitor the CAN & WakeUp line when DUT is Disconnected Powersupply and Re-connected

Acceptance Criteria:

The DUT shall resume normal communication without any operator intervention within 300 ms  after the fault is removed.

4.1.13.4.2.3 Communication Enable line Shorted to Ground

Check the behavior of the DUT in case of a short between the wake-up line and ground

 

4.1.13.4.2.3 CommEn Shrt to Gnd

Monitor the CAN & WakeUp line when short between the communication enable line and ground and Removed the fault

Acceptance Criteria:

The DUT shall resume normal communication without any operator intervention within 300 ms after the fault is removed.

4.1.13.4.2.4 Communication Enable Line Shorted to Battery

Check the behavior of the DUT in case of a short between the communication enable line and Battery

 

4.1.13.4.2.4 CommEn Short to 14V

Monitor the CAN & WakeUp line when short between the communication enable line and Battery(14V)

and Removed the fault

Acceptance Criteria:

The DUT shall resume normal communication without any operator intervention within 300 ms  after the fault is removed.

4.1.13.4.2.4 CommEn Short to 18V

Monitor the CAN & WakeUp line when short between the communication enable line and Battery(18V)

and Removed the fault

Acceptance Criteria:

The DUT shall resume normal communication without any operator intervention within 300 ms  after the fault is removed.
