The Name Mapping Transform is used to rename a block of signals using a CSV file. The function of the Transform is much the same as a Pass-Thru, however it enables the renaming of a large number of Signals using a file instead of having to do each signal manually.

Use the Input.Output Mapping file path property to specify the CSV file.

NameMapping-properties

After the CSV file is specified, the corresponding ports appear on the Transform:

The transform before and after a CSV file is specified.

The transform before and after a CSV file is specified.

The port types are specified in the CSV file. Other port properties (such as min and max) are inherited from the properties of the first port it is connected to. To change the properties, see Editing Ports.

CSV File Format

Column one contains the Signal name for the left side (inputs) of the Transform. Column two contains the Signal name for the right side (outputs) of the Transform. Column three contains the port type for each row. The allowed types are:

discrete (integer)

ctsfloat (continuous floating point)

ctsfixed (continuous fixed point)

message (MxSuite message Signals)

event (MxSuite event Signals)

The CSV file for the Transform shown above would look like this:

A1,B1,discrete

A2,B2,ctsfloat

A3,B3,message
