Transferring a Bus from MxVDev to the Harness

Use this procedure to transfer a bus from MxVDev to the Harness (MxTransIt). If the transfer is performed exactly, you can use same TestCases with the bus after the transfer.

.Take note of the existing Network Configuration in MxVDev. This includes the bus name, the DBC or LDF file names, which nodes are marked as "Receive From" or "Transmit and Simulate for," and the Message Name Translation options. It may be helpful to write down the information.

.In MxTransIt, create a CAN Transmit Driver or LIN Transmit Driver Transform.

.Follow the procedure in the Transform's Help topic to configure the Transform. Use the same file names and options as in the original configuration. The signals used by the selected nodes become inports on the transmit Transform.

.Create a CAN Receive Driver or LIN Receive Driver Transform.

.Follow the procedure in the Transform's Help topic to configure the Transform. Use the same file names and options as in the original configuration. The signals used by the selected nodes become outports on the receive Transform.

.Select Project->Network Configuration from the MxVDev main menu. Select the original bus and click the Remove button to delete the bus and its configuration.

.Export the ports that correspond to signals used in MxVDev TestCases.

.Connect the bus ports (for example, CANB). In most cases, these ports are connected to a CAN Device, a Virtual Bus Transform, or other Transforms.
